- Shiny deep-green leaves which turn to amazing tones of reds, oranges and purples in autumn.
- The branches are upright and symmetrical, and it has a very dense growth habit.
Flowers
Masses of single white flowers cover the tree in spring.
Usage
- Great for hedging and screening, avenues, feature trees, pleaching, and areas where width is restricted.
- Makes an excellent specimen or pair planting too.
- Highly suited to narrow spaces and urban sites.
- Plant 1-2m apart for a hedge/screen or 3-5m for an avenue.
Comments
- Grow in full sun to part shade.
- Prefers moist, well-drained soil; however, is adaptable to most soils, including dry and intermittently wet soils.
