- Compact, evergreen, hardy shrub with very attractive, glossy, shiny-green foliage.
- The leaves have a rounded shape, and the new growth is very bright.
Usage
- An excellent choice for a low to no maintenance border or low hedge.
- Dutch Box naturally grows in a rounded shape and is also great for pots and topiary.
- Great for defining the edges of paths and garden beds.
- Plant 25-30cm apart for a border/low hedge.
Comments
- Grows best in full sun to partial sun in well-drained soil.
- They are very hardy and will tolerate strong winds, salt spray, frost and up to 90% shade.
- Mulch well and fertilise with Seasol, Dolomite Lime and organic food each spring.
- Trimming is not always necessary, but they can be clipped at any time.
